Katie Taylor is enjoying the simple things in life, which she couldn’t before, in retirement.
The 40-year-old former boxer has been taking some R&R time after her high-profile retirement fight at Croke Park, which had the world watching (as she should).
In her professional life, she dared venture where others wouldn’t (and couldn’t go), and now, in her personal life, she’s indulging in things many others have been for decades.

Earlier this week, Katie revealed that she’s thoroughly enjoying ‘never having to make weight again’, eating as much as she wants; what she wants, when she wants.
She shared snaps of her and her other half enjoying an Italian meal, with plates loaded with delicious-looking pasta, and a portion of garlic bread on the side.
The former boxer also shared a snap of them snacking on some scrumptious pastries, dripping with icing (yum!).

Katie told her followers: ‘Ok, for the next few days I’m going to share with you some of the things I’ve really being enjoying since hanging up the gloves. Coming in hot with number one is NEVER having to make weight again.’
Another thing Katie has been basking in is spending time with her nearest and dearest. She’s now stepmum to her husband, Sean McCavanagh’s five children, and she’s enjoying spending time with them as well as himself and her friends.
Sharing gorgeous photos, she wrote: ‘Things I can now enjoy in retirement number two: spending more time with friends and family.’

Katie joked: ‘I know I put food as my number one and no offense to my friends and family but you try starve yourself for 25 years and let me know what you’d choose!’
It comes after it was revealed that the 40-year-old is set to star in a play. The world is her oyster, essentially!
