Jess Redden has opened up about the loss of her dad, six years after he sadly passed. The pharmacist confessed that the way she grieves him has changed since becoming a mum.
The Dublin woman welcomed her two children, who she shares with her former rugby star husband Rob Kearney, since her father passed.
Jess is mum to two-year-old Bobby and baby Ross, who is less than a year old. She penned a tear-jerking message to her followers, explaining how she wishes they had a chance to meet their grandfather.

‘Six years feels surreal. He never got to meet my two boys and that loss aches in a way words barely touch. I grieve the moments that never happened, the hugs he never gave them, the love he would have poured into them so easily,’ she penned.
‘But I also hold deep gratitude for the time I did have … for the memories that shaped me, for the love that still shows up in who I am and how I mother my boys.
‘Grief is heavy, but love is heavier. And somehow, it carries us forward.’

‘Love you pop and missing you every day,’ she added. People flocked to the comment section to share their support for the mum-of-two.
Niamh de Brun left a heart emoji, as did Louise Cooney. ‘Sending you hugs, Jess. It’s so hard. I think we miss them in different ways as the years go on. Thinking of you xx,’ another person added.
‘This is so so lovely it really is,’ a fourth person added. Jess’ father passed away while she was still engaged to Rob, back in 2020.

She took to social media to announce the heartbreaking news at the time.
‘3.9.20 the day our world stopped spinning. I promise to always keep making you proud Dad. We may not ever see you, but we’ll never be apart. God has you in his arms, but we’ll always have you in our hearts,’ she penned. ‘Rest in Peace our beautiful Daddy. I love you x’.
