Oasis have sent fans into overdrive with many now convinced that they are set to bring their reunion to Slane Castle next year.

The speculation surrounds a teaser campaign ahead of a major tour announcement expected on Monday.

The Manchester band posted a video to their Instagram on Saturday appearing to show a lone figure standing, back to camera, in an empty field that fans quickly identified as the Co Meath venue.

Many pointed out that the shot looked like a recreation of an iconic image from the band’s Slane appearance in 1995.

Speculation ramped up further after a drone display over Manchester’s Etihad Stadium beamed the Oasis logo alongside a date, pointing to the band’s full 2027 tour schedule and ticket details being released at 4pm on Monday.

A touring schedule that leaked last week has up to five nights pencilled in at Slane next August, though nothing has been confirmed by either Oasis or the venue, and the plan is described as subject to change.

If it goes ahead, it would cap a remarkable year for the Boyne Valley estate. Fontaines D.C. are already confirmed to headline Slane on June 26, 2027, with Hayley Williams, Damien Dempsey and Madra Salach among the guests.

Oasis have a long history with the venue. They first played Slane in July 1995 as support to American rockers R.E.M., a gig remembered for the band clashing with sections of the crowd as bottles and rocks were thrown.

They returned to headline in June 2009, with The Prodigy and Kasabian among the support, in what proved their final Irish show before the brothers went their separate ways later that year.

The reunion itself has been a roaring success as more than 160,000 fans packed Croke Park across two sold-out nights last August.

Oasis have also teased possible shows in Glasgow, Paris, Amsterdam, Boston and Rome, while Knebworth has been strongly linked. For now, all eyes are on Monday.
