Inside the Mayo team's All-Ireland celebrations as wives and girlfriends step out in style

Just hours after the Mayo team lifted the Sam Maguire Cup after a long 75-year wait, the women behind the winning team pulled out all the stops for a night of celebrations.
According to RTÉ, as many as 1.1M people watched Mayo finally take the All-Ireland title, while Croke Park hosted a further 82,300 fans in the stands, showcasing a sea of green and red across Hogan, Cusack and Davin.
On Sunday night, the team enjoyed well-deserved celebrations with their other halves at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Dublin 8 before they departed Heuston Station and headed home to Castlebar for a heroes’ welcome at MacHale Park.

Rob Hennelly’s wife, Orla Lorenza, wowed in a white fully embellished sparkling mini dress, with a high neckline and long sleeves. She paired her winning look with oversized white floral statement earrings.
Her Mayo goalkeeper superstar husband looked dapper as he swapped his GAA shorts for a suit and tie Rob Hennelly
Captioning her pictures on social media, she joked: ‘The only pic we took last night.’

The ItsBeautyCheats brand owner showed off her look in a full length mirror before the couple’s night of celebrations.
Orla originally hails from Valencia in Spain and has been with the GAA star for seven years after meeting while they were both studying communications at DCU.
Rob proposed to Orla at the end of December 2020 and the couple tied the knot in a winter wedding back in 2022, saying their ‘I Dos’ at the Powerscourt Hotel in Wicklow. Among the guests included Mayo team-mate Aidan O’Shea.

Mayo were cheered on at Croke Park on Sunday by Aidan’s wife Kristin McKenzie Vass and his two children. Sharing a number of photos on Instagram, the Breaffy man’s partner simply wrote: ‘This feels good.’
The couple later donned their glad rags for a night out in Dublin with Kristin looking stunning in a crochet bead and sequin embellishment maxi dress with a matching beaded pouch bag.
Her husband looked suitably smart as he towered over his wife for a picture ahead of their celebrations.

Roberta Harrington uploaded a smiling picture taken later in the night with Kristin as the pair appear to also be celebrating their birthday together as well as the historic win.
The Sligo-based yoga teacher is engaged to Fergal Boland since 2024. Roberta captioned a picture of her with Fergal on the pitch after the win, saying: ‘Mayo are back’.

Meanwhile, Mayo’s breakout star Kobe McDonald was all smiles as he celebrated lifting the Sam Maguire cup with girlfriend Leah Maheady.
The GAA star, who sat his Leaving Cert earlier this year, has signed a professional deal with St Kilda in Australia to compete in the Australian Football League.
But speaking on Sunday, Kobe said he wasn’t even thinking about his move Down Under just yet.

‘Look, to be honest, I’m not thinking about Australia right now. I’m just going to soak every bit of this in.
‘This is where I come from and to give these people of Mayo something to cheer about is special,’ he told RTÉ Sport.
