Holly Carpenter has revealed she suffered a miscarriage earlier this year.
The model – who has just signed to new agency First Management – married Jamie Hunt in May 2025, with a legal ceremony in Dublin, followed by a destination wedding later that year in France.
Just months after the couple’s big day, Holly revealed she discovered she was pregnant with her first child but suffered a miscarriage at six weeks.
Speaking to the Sunday Independent, Holly said: ‘In February I did get pregnant. And then I lost the baby. I’m fine, but it’s just when you say it out loud.’
Holly said it was ‘eye opening’ to discover how excited she was when she first found out she was pregnant.
‘And I was like, “Oh my God, that’s kind of my answer”.’
‘Thankfully I was six weeks. Like not thankfully, six weeks is quite early and there’s no right or wrong way, you can still be just as upset with that because you get so… I was surprised at how excited and attached I got straight away.
‘As soon as I saw the pregnancy test, I was like, “OK, right, I’m going to start doing this, and doing that, and eating more fibre, and getting my steps in”.
‘I actually just felt this real excitement. And even though I’ve gained acceptance around it quite quickly, because I was just like “this is something that so many women go through,” so I knew I wasn’t alone in experiencing it, but also I just felt like I was under so much stress and anxiety.’
The 34-year-old said she was ‘stressed’ at the time and felt like she was seeing pregnant women everywhere after she lost her baby.
‘I was so stressed at the time. I felt I was seeing pregnant women everywhere I went after that happened. It’s a really strange feeling because it’s like you think something’s going to happen, and you suddenly can see it so clearly. You get so excited, and then it’s gone.’
