Charleen Murphy has broken her silence on her exit from Love Island after a short stint on the reality series.
The Dubliner entered the show last week during Casa Amor and was one of the bombshells to return to the main villa.
She had been chosen by Kavan Murphy to recouple with, though he soon committed himself to Jasmine Muller instead.
On Tuesday, a shock recoupling saw Charleen and fellow Casa Amor bombshell Mara Pirez left single and subsequently dumped.
Despite the ‘whirlwind’ journey only lasting a few days, Charleen insisted it was ‘an experience I’ll never forget’.
The influencer opened up about her brief time on the show to her Instagram followers, thanking all of her supporters.
Charleen wrote: ‘I leave with unforgettable memories, friendships I’ll always cherish, and so much gratitude for having had the opportunity.
‘Although it wasn’t the ending I imagined, one thing this experience has reminded me is that staying true to yourself is always enough.
‘I would’ve loved a little more time in the villa, simply because I know there’s so much more to me. But every emotion, every word, every feeling you saw came from a genuine place.
‘I always believe that having a soft heart is a strength, not a weakness and that’s something I’ll carry with me long after this experience.’
Charleen went on to share her pride in her nine days on the series, expressing that ‘you can’t control every outcome, but you can control the way you treat people’.
She added: ‘I truly believe that if you stay authentic, lead with kindness, and keep your heart open, that’s something you can be proud of.
‘Thank you so much to everyone who supported me and has taken time to send me the kindest messages. Reading your love has meant more than you’ll ever know. It’s reminded me that we’re really all just girls figuring out life, love + the rest all together.’
The influencer is now looking forward to the future, expressing her excitement about whatever the next chapter may be.
