Broadcaster Ryan Tubridy has broken his silence following the news that he and his wife, Dr Clare Kambamettu, are expecting their first child together.
Taking to Instagram last night alongside a picture with Clare, the former RTÉ star expressed his gratitude for the huge wave of support and well wishes the couple have received since their happy news was revealed.
Posting to social media, Ryan wrote: ‘Thank you for the kind and thoughtful well wishes about our impending arrival, they mean a lot. We’re beyond excited and looking forward to a very busy 2027…Onwards.’
The upcoming arrival marks another major milestone for the couple, who tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at the Abbeyglen Castle Hotel in Clifden, Co Galway, last December- just months after announcing their engagement.
Their romance first sparked after Clare appeared as a guest on Ryan’s radio show.

The baby will be the first child for Clare, 42, a clinical psychologist and former Rose of Tralee. Ryan, 53, is already a father to two adult daughters, aged 27 and 21, from his previous marriage.
It caps off a remarkably busy period for the broadcaster, who currently divides his time between Ireland and the UK to host his weekly Sunday afternoon show on Times Radio in London, alongside hosting his popular podcast, The Bookshelf with Ryan Tubridy.
Ryan also writes a regular column for Extra.ie.
