Ariana Grande is set to take a step back from public life following the end of her Eternal Sunshine tour.

The tour wraps up in London on September 1, with the singer’s management confirming she will be taking a step back from the public eye.

It comes amid ongoing scrutiny the actress-turned-singer has faced on her body image and health.

A representative for the Thank U, Next singer told PEOPLE she would be ‘taking a step back from visibility’ when the Eternal Sunshine Tour ends.

They said: ‘She looks forward to finishing the tour and ending it on a high note, both healthily and happily, and then taking a much-deserved break from public-facing work and appearances, which has led to endless, ongoing public scrutiny.’

They went on to confirm Grande ‘loved every minute of this tour so much.’

The decision for the singer to take a break means she will no longer be appearing in the West End revival of Sunday in the Park with George.

The show is scheduled to open at London’s Barbican Centre next summer, with Grande starring opposite her Wicked co-star, Jonathan Bailey.

Empire Street Productions confirmed the news, extending well wishes to the singer.

The production company added that they would be opening at the Barbican in summer 2027 ‘as planned.’

It comes not long after the release of her eighth studio album, Petal, which was released on Friday, July 31.

PEOPLE report the album was about the ‘love-hate relationship with the public and their toxicity.’

The Eternal Sunshine tour got underway in June, with Oakland, California the first stop.

This week will see the end of the US tour before the singer heads to London for a string of shows to wrap up the tour.
