Digital Content Creator

WLR is looking for an experienced and creative Digital Content Creator to join our award-winning Digital Team.

This is a hands-on role with video at its core, but the successful candidate will also play an important role in supporting the wider Digital Team across content, campaigns and digital projects.

We’re looking for someone with a strong eye for visual storytelling who understands social media, can create engaging content and is comfortable taking an idea from concept through to filming, editing and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Video & Digital Content

  • Capture and edit engaging video content for WLR’s social media platforms, including short-form video such as Reels, TikToks and Stories.
  • Produce video content for WLR programmes, events, Outside Broadcasts, promotions and commercial clients.
  • Create professional client testimonial videos.
  • Work closely with the Digital Team to develop and deliver creative ideas for digital campaigns, projects and content, including supporting commercial campaigns and working with the sales team to deliver engaging digital content.
  • Support the wider Digital Team with content for WLR’s website, social media, newsletters and other digital platforms.
  • Assist with written content, case studies and creative assets, including graphics for campaigns and competitions.
  • Ensure content is on-brand, relevant and appropriate for the target audience and platform.
  • Stay up to date with social media trends, emerging platforms and new digital content formats, using digital and social media insights to understand content performance and inform future content.
  • Support other digital projects and content requirements as needed.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience in videography, digital content creation or a similar creative role, with strong filming and video editing skills and a portfolio of work to demonstrate your experience.
  • Creative and confident developing ideas, with a strong eye for visual storytelling and attention to detail.
  • Excellent understanding of social media platforms, trends and short-form video content.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while working independently and as part of a wider team.
  • Flexible and comfortable working in a fast-moving media environment.
  • Strong writing and editing skills would be an advantage.
  • A full clean driving licence is required.

Working Hours & Location

Location: The Broadcast Centre, Waterford.

Hours: Primarily Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, with evening and weekend work required from time to time for events, filming and other content requirements.
