Public health concerns from Tycor fire

There are public health concerns as a result of this evening’s major fire in Tycor.
The fire broke out at a premises earlier, resulting in large plumes of smoke being visible during the Waterford v Cork Munster Senior Hurling Championship game at Walsh Park.
Gardai and the Fire Service say there is concern over the spread of asbestos.
Local residents are advised to stay indoors and keep windows shut.
Specialist units have arrived at the scene in addition to crews already deployed.
Smoke billowing from the area has been visible across the city and surrounding areas.
