There was fantastic news for Waterford equestrian sport this week as Sam Widger has been selected on the Irish team for the upcoming European Pony Championships in Le Mans, France.
Widger and his pony, BP Bon Jovi, earned their place on the Irish squad following a series of consistent and impressive performances throughout the season.
The selection is a significant milestone for the talented Waterford rider and reflects the hard work and dedication of everyone involved at Equine Evolve and Ballypatrick.
The European Pony Championships will see Ireland’s top young riders compete against the best in Europe, with Le Mans set to host the prestigious event later this month.
Congratulating the pair on their achievement, Equine Evolve said it was “a proud evening” for everyone involved, praising the consistency and performances of both rider and pony throughout the campaign.
Sam Widger and BP Bon Jovi will now look to represent Ireland with distinction on the European stage as they prepare for the championships in France.
