Waterford LGFA have named their side for this weekend’s opening round clash in the TG4 Munster LGFA Senior Championship, with a tough away trip to Kerry awaiting.
The Déise travel to Tralee on Sunday to face the reigning Munster heavyweights at Austin Stack Park, with throw-in scheduled for 2 pm.
Leading the side is captain Emma Murray of Comeragh Rangers, who anchors midfield alongside Eve Power. There is a strong Ballymacarbry presence throughout the team, continuing their influence on the county setup.
In defence, Katelyn Gardner starts in goal behind a solid full-back line of Cora Murray, Laura Mulcahy, and Alana McGrath. The half-back line sees Ruby Browne, Rebecca Casey, and Karen McGrath combine experience and physicality.
Midfield responsibility falls to captain Emma Murray and Eve Power, while the half-forward line includes Áine O’Neill, Kellyann Hogan, and Katie Murray.
Up front, Waterford will look to Maeve Daly, Bríd McMaugh, and Lauren McGregor to provide the attacking spark as they take on a strong Kerry outfit on home soil.
This fixture represents a significant early test for Waterford, opening their championship campaign against one of the province’s top sides. A positive result on the road would mark a strong start and set the tone for the rounds ahead.
Throw-in is at 2 pm on Sunday in Tralee, as Waterford begin their 2026 Munster Championship journey.
