Waterford FC have been drawn at home to Sligo Rovers in the quarter-finals of the 2026 Club Orange Men’s FAI Cup.

The draw was made this afternoon at FAI headquarters in Abbotstown, giving the Blues a tie against fellow Premier Division opposition at the Regional Sports Centre.

The quarter-final is scheduled for the weekend ending Sunday, September 6th, with the exact date and kick-off time to be confirmed.

Waterford will be hoping home advantage can help them book a place in the last four, but face a difficult test against a Sligo Rovers side also targeting a run deep into the competition.

The remaining quarter-final ties will see Drogheda United host Galway United, while Derry City face Dundalk and St Patrick’s Athletic take on Bohemians.

Full draw:

  • Waterford FC v Sligo Rovers

  • Derry City v Dundalk
  • St Patrick’s Athletic v Bohemians

Further information on the fixture, including ticketing details, is expected to be released by Waterford FC in the coming days.
