
Waterford’s darts scene continues to grow, and a brand-new season of trials is set to welcome players of all ages and abilities across the county.
The Waterford Darts Trials 2026/27 campaign will take place at the Holy Cross Bar and Restaurant, with dedicated trials for youths, men’s, and ladies players running from June through to January.
With darts booming in popularity across Ireland thanks to the rise of young stars and increased TV coverage, local interest in the sport has never been stronger. Recent reports highlighted the growth of youth darts in Waterford, with more young players than ever before getting involved.
Organisers are encouraging everyone to get involved — whether you are an experienced player, a beginner looking to try the sport, or a young player hoping to develop your game in a welcoming environment.

The trials format will see the best five trial results count toward qualification.
Registration Fees
- Youths: €10 registration
- Men’s: €20 registration
- Ladies: €20 registration
Trial entry fees are €7 / €12 per event.
The trials begin in June, with youths and ladies kicking off on June 6th, while the men’s series starts on June 7th.
Waterford has a proud darts tradition, and the sport’s continued growth locally has been evident in recent years, with strong youth participation and increasing community interest across the county.
