Liverpool, Aston Villa, Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal have discovered their opponents for the Champions League group stage.

All five Premier League sides face a tough schedule, with some of Europe’s biggest clubs among their opponents.

Liverpool will meet Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan, while Aston Villa face PSG, Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund.

Manchester City have also been drawn against PSG and Barcelona, while Manchester United will face Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid.

Arsenal have been handed a difficult campaign, with Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund among their opponents.

Liverpool

Liverpool will host Atletico Madrid before travelling to Inter Milan.

They will also welcome Porto, Villarreal and Lens, while away games against Club Brugge, Fenerbahce and LASK complete their schedule.

The new Champions League format means each club plays eight league-phase matches, with the results determining their position in the overall table and their route into the knockout stages.
