Waterford LGFA is celebrating today as three Déise players have been honoured in the 2026 Lidl National Football League Teams of the League, announced by the Ladies Gaelic Football Association’s All-Star committee.

The recognition places Waterford firmly among the top performers in Division 1 this season.

Captain Emma Murray, along with standout players Kellyann Hogan and Bríd McMaugh, have all been selected for the prestigious Division 1 team.

Their inclusion highlights Waterford’s growing influence at the highest level of ladies football and reflects a season of consistently strong performances.

Cork and Galway dominate the Division 1 selection with five players each, following their appearance in this year’s league final.

Cork claimed their 13th Division 1 title, drawing level with Kerry on the all-time leaderboard. Armagh captain Lauren McConville and Kerry skipper Síofra O’Shea complete the top‑flight lineup.

Notably, Murray and Hogan are among the few players to retain their place from the 2025 Division 1 Team of the League, underlining their continued excellence on the national stage.

Across the other divisions, Donegal lead the Division 2 selection with six players, Louth dominate Division 3 with nine, and Carlow top Division 4 with eight representatives.

All selected players will receive their awards at a ceremony in Croke Park on Friday, April 24th.
