Tallow Snooker Club is continuing to go from strength to strength, with more than 65 members now part of the club following a remarkable turnaround over the past two years.

The club held its AGM recently, with members reflecting on the progress made since the snooker tables in Tallow were brought back into use after being locked up and unused.

A huge amount of voluntary work and commitment has gone into developing the club, with significant improvements made to the facilities.

The club now boasts state-of-the-art snooker tables featuring heated slates, while improvements have also been made to the lighting and overall facilities. The table cloths are changed regularly to ensure playing conditions remain at a high standard.

At the AGM, Mark Cashman confirmed that he will continue as Chairperson, while there was also a positive discussion around plans for the future and further development of the club.

The growth of Tallow Snooker Club has also provided an important social and recreational outlet in the town, with people of different ages able to get involved and enjoy the facilities locally.

New members are welcome, with annual membership costing €50. Anyone interested in joining is encouraged to contact a member of the club committee.

Existing members are reminded that membership renewals are due before the end of October and can be paid to club Treasurer Pat Casey.

The progress made in just two years is a strong example of what can be achieved through voluntary effort and community involvement.

From tables that were once locked up and unused, Tallow Snooker Club has developed into a thriving club with more than 65 members and plans to build further on that progress in the years ahead.
