The 2026/27 South East Snooker League got underway this week, with reigning champions Norris’s Snooker Club among the winners in the opening round of fixtures.

The league features 10 teams from six clubs across Waterford City and County, alongside three teams from Youghal Snooker Club.

Norris’s began their title defence with a 7-5 away victory over Dungarvan A. Junior player Evan Keenan made a significant contribution, recording a 3-0 win to help the Waterford City club get their campaign off to a positive start.

Tallow Snooker Club also enjoyed an impressive result, securing a comprehensive 10-2 victory over Cuezone from Dungarvan.

Youghal B were the standout performers of the opening round, recording a 12-0 home win over Cuezone B to make a strong statement at the start of the new season.

The league continues next week with four fixtures.

Dungarvan A take on Cuezone A, while Norris’s face Cuezone B. Youghal A meet Cappoquin, with Tallow hosting Youghal C.
