There was plenty of action across the Waterford Junior League over the past week, with fixtures played from Monday through to Sunday.

The week began on Monday with the Jimmy O’Neill Division 2 Cup Final, where Kilbarry defeated Johnville 3-1.

There were three fixtures on Tuesday.

In the Azzurri Division 1A League, Piltown recorded a 5-2 victory over Johnville.

The Ball Corporation Under 17B League game between Tramore and Ferrybank finished 0-0, while Cappoquin/Railway defeated Villa 6-1 in the Under 17C League.

Wednesday saw five games take place.

In the Azzurri Premier League, Villa picked up a 1-0 away win over Tramore.

Carrick defeated St. Joseph’s 3-0 in the Azzurri Division 1A League, while Bohemians recorded a 7-1 victory over Mooncoin in Division 1B.

In the Ball Corporation Under 17A League, Villa defeated Piltown 2-1, while Villa’s Under 17B side also claimed a win, beating Dungarvan 3-0.

There were five games on Saturday.

In the first round of the McCarthy Insurance Munster Junior Cup, St. Paul’s defeated Tycor 2-1, while Southend recorded a 7-1 win away to Johnville.

In the Azzurri Division 2A League, Dungarvan Celtic defeated Wat Crystal 4-0, with Red Star and Dunmore playing out a 2-2 draw.

Crusaders were beaten 2-1 by Park Rangers in the Azzurri Division 4B League.

Sunday brought a busy schedule of fixtures.

In the Azzurri Premier League, Portlaw defeated Wat Crystal 5-2, while the result of the Hibernians and Tramore fixture was not provided.

Seaview were beaten 3-2 by St Saviours in the first round of the McCarthy Insurance Munster Junior Shield.

Portlaw also recorded a 2-1 victory over Park Rangers in the Azzurri Division 2A League.

Lismore produced one of the biggest wins of the weekend, defeating Stradbally 9-0 in Division 2B.

In Division 4B, De La Salle defeated Kilmacow 2-1.

There was also plenty of action in the Ball Corporation Youth B League.

Dunmore defeated Southend 5-0, while De La Salle recorded a 6-2 victory over St Saviours.

Tramore edged past Ballyduff 3-2, while Tramore Rangers finished with a 6-2 win over Ballinroad.
