Munster Women produced another impressive performance in the Vodafone Women’s Interprovincial Championship, defeating Connacht 47-12 in Galway.

Connacht opened the scoring early, but Munster quickly responded through Alana McInerney, before Alisha Flynn and Caitríona Finn added further tries to put the visitors firmly in control.

Finn was influential throughout, while McInerney completed a hat-trick, including her second-half scores as Munster continued to pull away.

Connacht did manage a second try through Jemima Adams Verling, but Abbie Salter-Townshend had the final say for Munster, touching down late on to complete a convincing victory.

The result sees Munster secure their place in next week’s final, with McInerney named Player of the Match after her outstanding three-try performance.
