Munster rugby star Kieran Brookes and his wife, Danielle Molloy, have found their feet on Irish soil.
In July, it was announced that Munster had signed Kieran, who hails from Stoke-on-Trent, on a two-year deal from Perpignan.
And so he, Danielle, and their sons, William, five, and Alfred, two, upped sticks from the sunny south of France in favour of a considerably wetter and colder Co Limerick.

But despite the unpredictable Irish weather, Danielle has said the family is settling into Irish life ‘just grand’ — which is what we like to hear!
Earlier this week, Danielle shared photos of her sons supporting their daddy and having a little kick-around in Limerick’s Thomond Park (all kitted out in Munster red, of course).
‘For those following our crazy little life… plot twist, we live in Munster now,’ the mum-of-two wrote. ‘Everyone has been SO welcoming and, despite the fact it rains approximately 97 per cent of the time, we’re settling in just grand.’

Speaking recently to the Irish Times, Kieran said: ‘I think the opportunity to go and play and explore different places, being a professional rugby player, is great.
‘We started our family [in France]. We had two kids born in Toulon. They went to French school and creche, and it’s a brilliant lifestyle for them.
‘I thoroughly enjoyed my time over there. I’d love to go back when I retire and maybe settle down over there in Perpignan. But the opportunity came up to come here.’

Kieran shared that his boys have started in Limerick’s Monaleen School and ‘they’re loving it’, adding that Munster is a ‘great club, with great people and great coaches’.
Kieran and Danielle said ‘Au revoir’ to France and ‘Dia duit’ to Ireland at the end of July. The family of four enjoyed a day out at Adare Manor, where Danielle gushed: ‘Never have I ever seen grass so… GREEN’

The couple later enjoyed the first Irish beach day with ‘fish and chips, ice creams, sandy bums and making the kind of childhood memories we grew up with’, before spending some time at Fota Island.
Might as well make the most of everything Ireland has to offer!
