Munster Rugby has confirmed that eight young players will join the Academy ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The new recruits are Christopher Barrett, Rob Carney, Jamie Conway, Joe Finn, Christian Foley, Alex Lautsou, James O’Leary, and Charlie O’Shea.
All eight players have progressed through Munster’s player pathway system, represented the province at underage level, and have been involved with Ireland Under-20s this season.
Munster Rugby Academy and Pathway Manager Gar Prendergast said the latest intake highlights the strength of the province’s development structures and the important role played by clubs, schools, coaches, and families.
Meanwhile, Max Clein, Seán Edogbo, Ronan Foxe, and Ben O’Connor have been promoted to the senior squad for the new season, while Michael Foy will spend another year in the Academy before making the step up in 2027.
Munster Rugby General Manager Ian Costello described the group as one of the most exciting Academy intakes in recent years and said continued investment in the pathway system is producing strong results for the province.
