Cork rugby prospect Michael Foy has signed a new contract with Munster Rugby that will see him remain in the province’s Academy next season before progressing to the senior squad for the 2027/28 campaign.
The 20-year-old flanker was one of Ireland’s standout performers at the Under-20 level in 2025, featuring throughout the Six Nations and making three appearances at the World Rugby U20 Championship.
A former Christian Brothers College Cork player, Foy joined the Munster Academy in 2024 after helping CBC reach back-to-back Munster Schools Senior Cup finals.
The Cork Constitution FC clubman has also played AIL rugby with University College Cork RFC and represented Munster A in eight Interprovincial Championship matches.
Munster described Foy as an influential member of the Academy and believes the young Cork forward has a bright future ahead as he continues his development within the province.
