
The annual Jim Power Inter-Divisional Tournament takes centre stage on Saturday with a full programme of games taking place across Kilrossanty and Dungarvan.
The competition will see divisional teams from across Munster battle it out in the prestigious Jim Power Cup, Shield, Plate and Bowl competitions, with group matches running throughout the morning before the finals get underway at 2.30 pm.
In Kilrossanty, the Jim Power Plate and Bowl competition features Waterford White, East Cork and West Tipperary in Group One, while Waterford Blue, Clare Saffron and Limerick Green contest Group Two. Group winners will progress to the Plate Final, while the runners-up will meet in the Bowl Final.
Meanwhile in Dungarvan, attention turns to the Jim Power Cup and Shield. South Tipperary, Cork City and Clare Blue make up Group One, while Limerick White, Mid/North Tipperary and West Cork compete in Group Two. The group winners will contest the Jim Power Cup Final, with the runners-up facing off in the Shield Final.
The opening fixtures at both venues throw in at 11 am, with a packed schedule of round-robin matches leading into the finals later in the afternoon.
The Jim Power Tournament continues to provide one of the highlights of the inter-divisional calendar, showcasing some of the best underage talent from across Munster while honouring the legacy of one of Waterford GAA’s most respected figures.
