Jack Moylan has been tipped to be a perfect fit for a Premier League side after his great start to the Championship season with Cardiff.
The former Shelbourne man moved to the Welsh capital over the summer from Lincoln City for just over €4million, joining Cork-native manager Brian Barry-Murphy and fellow Irish internationals Callum Robinson and Joel Bagan.
And he’s hit the ground running at the Blue Birds, scoring six goals and registering 3 assists from 11 Championship matches so far this campaign. That form has also seen Jack Moylan break into Hemir Hallgrimsson’s Ireland team, scoring his first competitive goal in the 3-0 win over Israel last month.

Barry-Murphy spoke about how happy the club are with Moylan’s progress so far, and how they expect more to come from the Dubliner.
‘He’s doing very, very well, but he’s a player we wanted to sign because of his potential and his ability to play in different positions.
‘Everything he’s done has been great because it’s not easy. But there’s a lot more for him to improve on, and he has to improve and train hard because there are so many parts of his game that can get better. When he does that, he’ll become an even better player for the club and the supporters.’
And after his stellar start to the season, the 25-year-old is being tipped for a move to a Premier League side.

Speaking on RTÉ’s Soccer Podcast, Alan Cawley has said that Jack Moylan is a ‘perfect fit’ for Brentford, managed, of course, by former Irish international Keith Andrews, with Moylan’s old Shelbourne coach Damien Duff working as an assistant.
‘Jack is absolutely flying. I think Jack is only going that way [up]. It’s only early days, you don’t want to be getting too carried away, but Cardiff will be doing well to hold on to him if he keeps up this level of form. He’s absolutely flying.’
Cawley added that Moylan would fit seamlessly at the West London club. ‘There is one club I have in mind, which probably a lot of people have in mind, because of his close connection with a couple of the staff members and with the Irish connection at the club.

‘I could see him there in that environment. I think he’s a fantastic player. The trajectory he’s on at the moment and the way he’s playing, I’d love to see it. I really think he can step up.
‘In the modern game, he’s so athletic and dynamic in his running power. I think he would make the jump in that area as well. Top clubs are so focused on that now, he can even improve in that department if he got a big move.’
Now, it may be unlikely for Moylan to move as soon as January, but with Cardiff sitting in the bottom half of the Championship, they could be tempted by a big money offer.
