Ireland’s Women’s Under-20s made history this afternoon with a thrilling 41–40 comeback victory over England in Coventry.

Trailing by 14 points, Ireland showed incredible determination to fight back and claim a famous win on English soil in a game packed with drama.

Waterford’s Niamh Briggs was the head coach of the side, guiding the team to a memorable result.

Clonea’s Aoibheann McGrath played a starring role in the comeback. She is the granddaughter of Margaret and the late Dom Enright, making it a proud day for her family and community.

A huge result for Irish women’s rugby and a sign of a very bright future.
