After months of speculation, Katie Taylor’s huge fight at Croke Park has been confirmed, and it’s fair to say excitement levels are high!
Now that we know where and when the bout is happening, just how do we go about getting tickets so we can see history being made with our own eyes on September 5?
Well, as it turns out, our weekly shop might just help us get our hands on tickets ahead of the rush of the general sale on Friday.

How to get tickets early
On Wednesday, June 10, pre-sale for Matchroom Boxing Fight Pass members will start at 9am, and just an hour later, Lidl customers are also in with a chance to buy tickets.
Lidl customers with the Lidl Plus App will be able to avail of pre-sale exclusively from 10am via the Lidl Plus App, with Croke Park residents also able to purchase from 10am.
If you’re not lucky on the pre-sale (fingers crossed we are though!), then tickets go on general sale at 9am on Friday, June 12.

What about prices?
Considering the prices of some events these days (Taylor Swift, Oasis… we’re looking at you), the ticket prices for Katie’s Croke Park fight look pretty reasonable.
Cusack/Davin and Hogan stand prices start at €38.70 – with tickets for a family of four (in a non-alcohol area of the stadium) at €125.50.
Pitchside prices range from €106.25 to €1,505.50, if you’ve cash to splash. All tickets via Ticketmaster are subject to a max service charge of €10.50.

What else should you know about the Lidl pre-sale?
Lidl is the official Title Event Partner for Katie’s homecoming fight and has helpfully shared a few pointers ahead of pre-sale going live on Wednesday.
The main thing to know is that the access link will be available via the home page of the Lidl Plus app.
Lidl encourages everyone hoping to get their hands on tickets to make sure they’re correctly logged in to the Lidl Plus app ahead of time.
As with all pre-sales, tickets are not guaranteed. The pre-sale will also happen solely on the app, and no tickets will be sold in-store.
You’ll also need to have your Ticketmaster account details and password ready for Wednesday morning, as presale will be done via Ticketmaster.
What has Katie said about the match?
Katie is ready and raring to go for her Croke Park fight, which will be her last before she hangs up her gloves and retires.
Speaking as it was confirmed, Katie said: ‘This seems like the perfect way to end it – by becoming Undisputed Champion again in our national stadium, which has such a special place in Irish hearts.
‘I’m so grateful that it’s happening and I can’t thank the people of this country enough for the support I have received over the years.
‘People have travelled all around the world to follow my career and I’m hoping I can repay some of that with a big performance on September 5.’
