Gold for Waterford’s Fitzpatrick and O’Flaherty at International Rowing Regatta

Waterford Rowing Club’s Katie Fitzpatrick and Eddie O’Flaherty have won gold at the International Rowing Regatta in London.
The duo travelled to London as part of the Rowing Ireland Sweep team, alongside team members from Galway Rowing Club, Shandon Boat Club and Enniskillen Royal Boat Clubs.
They competed at the 2026 Home International Rowing Regatta at the iconic Royal Albert Dock in London, an event hosted this year by England’s British Rowing.
The historic competition saw athletes from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales compete in a day of side-by-side racing.
Fitzpatrick and O’Flaherty were part of the Ireland Under-19 Coxless Four crew, alongside teammates Lily Couturier and Beatrice Kelly from Galway Rowing Club, as they claimed gold for Ireland.
A fantastic achievement for the Waterford Rowing Club duo on the international stage.
