Gaultier have reached their first-ever Waterford senior ladies football final after overcoming the current champions Comeragh Rangers in Sunday’s Lawlor’s Hotel Senior Club Championship semi-final.

Gaultier came through a high-scoring encounter in Kill, winning 4-08 to 1-14 to book their place in the decider.

It marks a significant moment for the club as they reach the Waterford senior ladies football final for the first time.

They will now face Ballymacarbry in the final after the reigning champions defeated Stradbally by 11 points to 8 in the other semi-final at Bushy Park.

Ballymacarbry’s victory sets up a final between two sides who came through contrasting semi-finals, with Gaultier’s attacking threat proving decisive against Comeragh Rangers.

The Lawlor’s Hotel Senior Club Championship final will see Gaultier bid to claim the senior title for the first time, while Ballymacarbry will be looking to add another championship success to their long record of success in Waterford ladies football.
