Waterford LGFA has paid tribute to Catriona Casey after she was presented with the GPA Lifetime Achievement Award at the Football Legends Lunch in Croke Park.

The award recognises Casey’s outstanding contribution to Ladies Gaelic Football, both during a distinguished playing career and through her continued dedication to developing and promoting the game.

Waterford LGFA described Casey as a true trailblazer whose achievements on the pitch, along with her work away from it, have inspired generations of players in Waterford and beyond.

The organisation said the prestigious honour was a fitting recognition of a lifetime devoted to Gaelic football and the incredible legacy Casey has created.

Waterford LGFA added that they were immensely proud to call Catriona Casey one of their own, offering their congratulations on what they described as a thoroughly deserved recognition.
