Cappoquin Railway FC is preparing for a major community fundraising event with its 24-Hour Soccerthon and Family Fun Day, aimed at raising funds for pitch development at the club.

The Soccerthon gets underway at 7pm on Friday, June 19, with underage teams taking part before adult five-a-side games continue through the night. The event concludes at 7pm on Saturday, June 20, with a Parents v Coaches match.

A Family Fun Day will run from 12pm to 6pm on Saturday, featuring bouncy castles, face painting, sideshows, food, refreshments and activities for all ages.

The club will also host a Monster Raffle, with tickets priced at €5 each or three for €10. Prizes include restaurant vouchers, a luxury hamper, a kayaking experience with West Waterford Adventures, a round of golf for two at Gold Coast Golf Club, afternoon tea for two at the Park Hotel and more.

All proceeds from the event will go towards the continued development of the club’s facilities.

Supporters are encouraged to attend, buy raffle tickets and help make the fundraiser a success for the benefit of future generations at Cappoquin Railway FC.
