Kobe McDonald and Jordan Flynn are still riding the high of Mayo’s All-Ireland win, but they’ve chosen somewhere more exotic to do this than their home county.
The brothers, respectively 18 and 30, were part of Mayo’s history-making senior football squad, who beat Kerry in the All-Ireland final at Croke Park last month.
After receiving a heroes’ welcome home, Kobe and Jordan, accompanied by their better halves, jetted off for a much-needed holiday.
Jordan and Kobe enjoyed some R&R in the popular Spanish resort of Salou with their partners Jessie Brown and Leah Maheady.
The Mayo GAA stars and their WAGs were snapped at the Fox and Hounds restaurant. A photo was shared of the group with a member of staff and shared to the restaurant’s social media.
‘We were thrilled to have top footballers Kobe McDonald and Jordan Flynn drop by the Fox and Hounds!’ the restaurant wrote.
It comes after EVOKE caught up with Kobe and Jordan’s mum, Karen, who spoke of the brothers’ special bond. ‘I honestly don’t think they ever argued,’ she told us.
Jessie Brown and Jordan met when they were 14 and are due to wed in December, while Leah and Kobe met in school and have been dating for three years.
Having never had daughters of her own, Karen says the girls have become exactly that. She explained: ‘I introduce them as my daughters.’
Elsewhere, after Mayo’s historic All-Ireland win, Jordan joked that he’d have a very special guest at his wedding this winter: the Sam Maguire.
‘We’ll have to bring the Sam Maguire. We haven’t invited anyone yet as we haven’t had time. It will be an open invitation now,’ the sportsman said.
‘We touched on that a couple of times. Wouldn’t it be great to win an All-Ireland and get married? Now it is happening… unless she changes her mind between now and December!’
