The Ladies European Tour arrives in Ireland this week with the KPMG Women’s Irish Open taking place at the K-Club in Kildare.

132 players from 34 countries will tee it up in the €450,000 tournament with Tramore’s Anna Dawson among seven amateurs to receive an invitation to compete.

Voted tournament of the year in 2025, this year the KPMG Women’s Irish Open will be staged on the par-72 Palmer South course. It is the first time the LET has been to the prestigious venue located in Kildare. The Palmer South is an inland links course combining a variety of interesting landscapes with dune-style mounding and dramatic rock features throughout.

Leona Maguire will spearhead the Irish challenge of nine professionals with the total of sixteen Irish players, the strongest home representation in the tournament’s history. Dawson will play at 9.35 on Thursday and 2.20pm om Friday alongside Maria Parra of Spain and Sweden’s Louisa Carlbom.

Maguire is joined by fellow Irish professionals Lauren Walsh, Sara Byrne, Canice Screene, Olivia Mehaffey, Anna Foster, Aine Donegan, Beth Coulter and Annabel Wilson, giving Irish fans plenty to cheer for across all four days on the Palmer South Course.

They will be supported by a talented group of Irish amateurs who have earned their place in the field: Katie Poots, Emma Fleming, Anna Abom, Ella Cantwell, Olivia Costello and Kate Dillon join Dawson – ensuring home interest runs right through the field alongside the leading European stars in the women’s game.
