Yesterday (Thursday) in the Central Criminal Court in Waterford, a 35-year-old man was found guilty of murdering Tramore woman Gillian Curran.
Ms Curran, who was 47 and originally from Sweetbriar in Tramore, was found unresponsive at her partner's house on the morning of 25 January 2025, and pronounced dead a short time later.
Marcus O'Neill had denied murdering Ms Curran at his home on O'Brien Street in the city.
However, a jury of five men and seven women returned a majority 10-2 guilty verdict on the charge of murder.
This morning, Damien spoke to Ralph Riegel, who is Southern Correspondent with the 'Irish Independent'.
