Thérèse Butler (nee O’Mara), Beary’s Cross, Ballinamult,Co. Waterford

Thérèse passed away peacefully after a short illness and in her 97th year, on the 10th of June 2026 in the excellent care of staff at University Hospital Waterford.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Edmond (Ned), parents Jack and Kathleen, brothers Thomas and Philip John (Bob), sisters-in-law Mairéad and Helen.

Thérèse is deeply mourned and sadly missed by her family, Gerard, Maeve, Eoin, Eamon, Orla and Conor, sons-in-law Connie and Alan, daughters-in-law Isobel, Jacinta, June and Gerard’s partner Martina, grandchildren Caoimhe, Cian, Neil, Kieran, Amy, Shane and Daragh, Megan, Emma, Jessica and Róisín, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, extended family and many friends.

Thérèse will be reposing at The Kiely Funeral Home, Dungarvan (X35 XN79) on Thursday evening, 11th June, from 5 p.m. with Prayers at 7 p.m., followed by removal to St. Mary’s Church, Touraneena (E91 FW90), arriving at 8.30 p.m.

Requiem Mass at 11 a.m. on Friday morning, 12th June.

Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
