Late Maurice (Monnie) Whelan, Kilrush Park, Dungarvan, Co. Waterford.

Monnie passed away peacefully at home on the Wednesday, May 13th, 2026 surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents John Whelan and Eileen Fitzgerald, brothers John Paul and Pat.

Monnie is deeply mourned and sadly missed by his loving wife Bernie, daughters Marie, Valerie, Colette, Helen, Michelle, Nicola, Antoinette, Edel and Emma, sons Maurice Jnr. and Trevor, sons-in-law, 22 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Monnie will be reposing at The Kiely Funeral Home, Dungarvan on Friday, May 15th, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Requiem Mass at 11 a.m. on Saturday morning, May 16th, in St. Mary’s Parish Church, Dungarvan. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
