James (Jim) Cooney, Mitchell Terrace, Dungarvan, Co. Waterford.

Jim passed away peacefully on the 24th of March 2026, after a short illness, at home, and surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents John and Johanna, brothers Tom, Walter, Michael, John Joe and Anthony, sisters Sr. Ita (Peg), Mary, Brigid and Sr. Patricia (Patsy).

Jim will be sadly missed by his loving wife Margaret, sons John and James, daughters Jane, Joanne, Patricia and Margaret, his cherished grandchildren Shannon, Kara, Sean, Paul, David, Stephen, Chloe, Janey, Louise and Padraig, his great-granddaughter Eimíle, sisters Ann Barrett and Josephine Morey, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at The Kiely Funeral Home, Dungarvan, on Sunday evening, 29th March, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with Prayers at 6.30 p.m.

Requiem Mass at 11 a.m. on Monday morning, 30th March, in St. Mary’s Parish Church, Dungarvan.

Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
