With a rumoured pricetag of between €20 to €30 million, Strancally Castle has been bought by Meta giant, Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan.

This morning, The Irish Times reports that the 440-acre estate was sold several weeks ago from Michael and Giancarla Alen-Buckley to the Zuckerbergs.

A co-founder of RAB Capital, Alen-Buckley first called Strancally Castle his own some 25 years ago.

The Irish Times reports that Mark Zuckerberg is expected to continue the enhancements of the property which has been heavily invested in over those 25 years.

The property itself is located high above the River Blackwater in the Blackwater Valley, relatively close to the town of Youghal.

Additionally, keeping the them of famous neighbours, the property is relatively close to Ballynatray House, which was purchased by James Dyson in 2024 for €29 million.
