
The Comeraghs Wild Festival 2026 will officially open on Thursday, 9th July at 8 pm with a headline comedy event, Wild Laughs: Bernard Casey Live in Rathgormack, taking place at The Village Bar, Rathgormack. Tickets are priced at €20, and the night promises a vibrant start to a weekend of celebration in the heart of the Comeraghs.
Festival-goers are invited to an evening filled with big laughs, a lively atmosphere, and a true sense of community spirit as the festival gets underway. The opening night sets the tone for the days ahead, bringing together locals and visitors for an unforgettable experience in Rathgormack village.
Headlining the event is award-winning comedian and actor Bernard Casey, one of Ireland’s most popular and widely recognised comic performers. Known for his viral online sketches, including Polish Irish Barman, French Oral, Irish Listening Test, and the character series Gossip and Nephew, Casey has built a massive following across social media. Recent stand-up clips and his Healy Rae-voiced Planet Earth parodies have further boosted his popularity, reaching audiences across Ireland and internationally.
Bernard Casey’s live shows have sold out major venues including the INEC Killarney, Cork Opera House, and Vicar Street, as well as international performances in London and Boston. His television credits include appearances on Callan’s Kicks alongside Oliver Callan and No Worries If Not on RTÉ, showcasing his sharp wit, observational humour, and talent for impressions.
Adding to the atmosphere on the night, music will be performed by Moylan Brunnock, ensuring a dynamic and entertaining opening celebration.
