Waterford is the second cheapest county in Ireland for car insurance.

That’s according to the findings of a new survey from Chill.

The newly updated Chill Car Insurance Pricing Index shows Kilkenny is the cheapest county in Ireland for car insurance, securing the number one spot with an average premium of €584.

Waterford has jumped two places to claim the number-two spot at €587.

In contrast, Longford ranks as the most expensive county for car insurance, where it costs drivers €785.

On average, the Hyundai Tucson, Nissan Qashqai, and Skoda Octavia are also the most affordable to insure.
