Waterford City and County Council has received plans for 167 homes, retail units and a creche at Carrickphierish Road in Gracedieu.

Plans lodged by Kingscroft Developments Limited outline proposals for 105 houses ranging from two bed to four-bed homes.

The development would also include two five-storey apartment blocks containing 30 apartments and 32 duplex apartment units.

The apartments would range from one-bed to three-bed homes.

The plans also include a creche, three retail or commercial units, public open spaces, 274 car parking spaces and more than 100 cycle spaces.

The council is due to make a decision on the application by June 30th.
