Emergency services are at the scene of a road traffic incident in Waterford City this afternoon.

It happened at The Glen where it’s understood the area has been closed to traffic while emergency personnel deal with the situation.

The number of vehicles involved has not yet been confirmed and the extent of any injuries remains unclear.

Motorists are being advised to avoid the area if possible and to follow any diversions that may be in place.
