
Several areas across Co. Waterford are experiencing, or may experience, water supply disruptions today as crews carry out repairs to burst water mains and essential maintenance works.
The latest updates show a number of ongoing issues affecting communities across the county, with residents advised that supplies may take several hours to fully return once works have been completed.
In Pickardstown, Glen Road and surrounding areas, repairs to a burst water main are scheduled to take place from 11am until 3pm today, August 10. Irish Water has warned that the works may cause interruptions to the water supply.
Residents in the affected areas are advised to allow an additional three to four hours after the estimated restoration time for their water supply to fully return.
Meanwhile, Ballyduff, Kilmeaden and surrounding areas may also experience supply disruptions and low water pressure due to essential maintenance works. These works are scheduled to continue until 5pm today.
An earlier burst water main issue affecting Sheskin and surrounding areas was scheduled to run until 10am today. That work has now passed its estimated completion time and can be considered completed, although residents are advised that it can take a further three to four hours for supplies to fully return to normal.
There is also a longer-running issue affecting Tinnabinna and surrounding areas, where essential maintenance works are scheduled from 12pm on July 28 until 4pm on August 21.
Residents in the area may experience water supply disruptions during the works and are advised to allow three to four hours after the scheduled restoration time for supplies to fully return.
Elsewhere, an investigation into supply disruptions affecting Villerstown and surrounding areas has been ongoing. Crews are working to restore the supply as soon as possible.
A burst water main issue affecting Ballyduff and surrounding areas was scheduled to run until 9.30pm on August 9 . That incident has now passed its scheduled completion time.
Residents experiencing continued disruption following the scheduled restoration times are advised that it can take several hours for the water network to return fully to normal.
