
A multi agency operation took place in Waterford City this morning after two people were reported attempting to enter the River Suir.
Crew members at Waterford City River Rescue responded to the incident and assisted the individuals before emergency services arrived.
The two people were later assisted by the National Ambulance Service and An Garda Síochána.
The operation was completed with a successful outcome.
The Irish Coast Guard coordinated the response and reminded the public to contact emergency services immediately if they see anyone in difficulty near water by calling 999 or 112.
