Tunefest draws to a close in Dungarvan later today.

The sell out five-day celebration of traditional irish music sees Frankie Gavin and Catherine McHugh headlining this afternoon while Danú in Concert will close out the festival tonight.

Dungarvan and West Waterford Chamber CEO Jenny Beresford says the Festival is having a positive impact for businesses across the area, “It’s a festival that you can feel before you hear it. There’s an energy and a vibe and everybody wants to just soak it up and be part of it.”

“It’s got packed concerts, lively pub sessions, there’s busking on every corner, but the impact is far wider than that. People are obviously using accommodation, cafes, restaurants, pubs, retail, even garden centres are getting a spin off of this in the good weather.”
