The Classic TT race is ongoing on the Isle of Man where a significant overhaul took place this year of the traditional Classic TT and Manx Grand Prix race schedule.
After the incident, the Tramore rider was conscious and speaking to those around him.
Brian is currently receiving treatment for his injuries at Aintree University Hospital and understood to be recovering well.
The Tramore man remains the fastest ever Republic of Ireland rider at the Isle of Man TT having lapped the Mountain Course at 128.812 mph.
