The toilet block at Newtown Cove and Guillamene in Tramore is set to close temporarily for refurbishment works.

The facility will shut from Monday, June 8th, and is expected to remain closed for at least a fortnight while the upgrade is carried out.

Temporary toilet facilities will be provided during the works, with two portable toilets to be installed on the grass area between the green cabin and the existing toilet block.

The Newtown and Guillamene Swimming Club is asking people not to use the temporary facilities as changing rooms and to dispose of rubbish responsibly.

Visitors to Tramore are also being advised that there may be some disruption in the car park while works are ongoing due to the presence of council machinery.

In a notice the club thanked the public for their support during the refurbishment project.
