An Garda Síochána continue to investigate the multiple murder following the arson attack and fatal house fire that occurred in the Birchwood area of Waterford City shortly after 5am on Tuesday, 13th October last.

Earlier today, Tuesday 20th October, investigating Gardaí arrested a male (aged 50s) and 2 females (aged 30s) for alleged offences contrary to section 72 Criminal Justice Act 2006 in connection with the arson attack and murder of four people at 7 Birch Avenue, Birchwood, Waterford.

All three are currently detained under section 50 Criminal Justice Act 2007 at Garda Stations in the Garda Eastern region.
