Storm Franklin brings strong winds and damaging gusts

29,000 homes and businesses are without power this morning due to Storm Franklin
Counties Donegal and Sligo are impacted the most, however, a number of homes in Waterford have woken up without power this morning.
ESB reported that 76 homes and businesses are without power in the Bunmahon/Tramore area, while 21 customers are impacted near the Nire Valley, and restoration updates can be checked on their power check site.
A status yellow wind warning which is bringing damaging gusts and possible coastal flooding will come to an end in an hour (9 am).
A tree is reportedly down on the L7084 Tikincor in Waterford, and the road impassable.
A gust of 139 kilometres an hour was recorded at Mace Head yesterday.
