State apology for Kenneally survivors – July 14th
Jun 28, 26

A state apology will be made to the victims of paedophile Bill Kenneally next month.
Justice Minister Jim O’Callaghan has confirmed an official apology will made on July 14th.
Kenneally died last week while serving an almost 19-year prison sentence for sexually abusing young boys in Waterford from the 1970s to the 1990s.
A Commission of Investigation was set up to examine the response to what was one of the most serious cases of paedophilia ever uncovered in Ireland.
It found there was a clear and serious dereliction of duty by senior gardai even by the standards of the time
